 Mission Statement

To perpetuate the ideals of Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., and support all men and women who are serving our country as members of the Armed Services.

Further objectives of this organization shall be of a patriotic, educational, service and social orientation; to offer moral support to our community, our members, their families and friends; to support and assist veterans' organizations, to attend patriotic rallies and meetings; to provide comfort to those mothers who gave their sons or daughters to the service of our Country.


HELP OUR HOMETOWN HEROES NOW! Blue Star Mothers are now gathering non-perishable items the Moms are packing up to send to our men and women overseas. The needs list includes men's socks (white, black, OD), lip balm, men's large and XL pajamas, pre-moistened wet napkins, sports balls (baseball, basketball, football, soccer), and beef jerky. Email us at scvbluestarmoms@yahoo.com and we'll make pick-up or drop-off arrangements.

BLUE STAR MEMORIAL DAY 2007: On Saturday, May 27 at Santa Clarita City Hall, 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Valencia 91355, the SCV Blue Star Mothers hosted a memorial ceremony to honor all men and women in the military, and all Fallen Heroes, especially those who lived or had family in the Santa Clarita Valley. Alicia Richardson again sang the National Anthem and Santa Clarita Symphony trumpter Stephen Billington returned to play "Taps" for the occasion. The event was free.

BLUE STAR VETERAN'S DAY 2006:
Saturday, Nov. 11 at Santa Clarita City Hall, the SCV Blue Star Mothers dedicated new Blue Stars and Gold Stars representing new local servicemen and women, and our latest Fallen Heroes. Alicia Richardson sang "The Star-Spangled Banner," while trumpter Stephen Billington of the Santa Clarita Symphony played "Taps" as the names of our Fallen Heroes were read. The event was free, open to the public, and attended by Santa Clarita City Councilwoman, Mayor Pro-Tem and Blue Star Mother Marsha McLean and outgoing Councilman and Assemblyman-Elect Cameron Smyth, who both addressed the crowd.
